About the Academy

Way Back When…

When we founded PartnerSlate back in 2015, we had noticed a huge gap in communication between brands and contract manufacturers, as well as a severe lack of information about the commercialization process. We started to address this problem by creating a comprehensive database of thousands of manufacturers throughout North America, recording capabilities and capacity. Through conversations with these manufacturers, we gained a better sense of what they were looking for, and created PartnerSlate Marketplace to make connecting brands with interested manufacturers an easier and faster process on both ends.

We launched PartnerSlate Academy to serve as a resource for brands less familiar with the CPG industry. This academy has two main functions:

  1. To help brands understand the flow of preparing, vetting, onboarding, and producing with a new co-manufacturer with PartnerSlate.
  2. To serve as an information hub for Food and Beverage CPG information.

PS Academy Goal

The goal of this academy is to provide brands with enough information on the development and commercialization process to allow them to approach co-man conversations with the tools they need to launch a successful CPG brand, as well as serve as a base of understanding for other topics related to the industry.

In this academy, we will cover PartnerSlate specific resources (like how to set up a project in Marketplace, and how to approach your first co-man call), as well as more generalized knowledge (food certifications, financing for contract manufacturing, etc). We aim to continue growing this academy into the most comprehensive free resource for CPG brands.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are continuously expanding the academy, and always looking for experts in the field to collaborate with.
